Racton Ruin

This eighty feet high tower was built in the 1770’s by Theodosius Keene for the second Earl of Halifax, who lived at nearby Stansted House. Opinions differ as to whether it was a simple folly, or a look-out tower where the Earl could see his merchant ships arriving at the nearby port of Emsworth
